Valerie S. Goodwin, R.A. Valerie S. Goodwin has been a faculty member of the Florida A & M University School of Architecture since 1994. She also is a practicing architect and, along with her husband, is currently is one of the principals in Goodwin & Goodwin Architects, P. A. In addition, Professor Goodwin is a nationally recognized quilt artist with work exhibited in the United States and abroad. Professor Goodwin has taught courses in upper- and lower-division design, professional practice, and other electives within the School of Architecture. She has an interest in investigating how architecture can be taught through connections derived from disciplines such as fabric and surface manipulation, quilting, and other textile-related disciplines. |
