Richard C. Rome

Richard Rome, ASLA has been an Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Landscape Architecture Program at Florida A&M University since 1999. He taught previously on the faculty of the Schools of Architecture at Auburn University and the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a registered landscape architect, and he has held offices in the Alabama, Texas, and Florida Chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Mr. Rome's research foci include linkages between nature and culture, cultural landscapes, garden history, and landscape site design. He has organized student travel groups to Mexico, England, and Italy, and he teaches thesis research courses in the graduate curriculum. He has served as Thesis Chair for eight MLA theses that have been awarded national recognition.
