Andrew Chin Andrew Chin has served as the Assistant Dean of the FAMU School of Architecture since Fall 2004. Professor Chin has a Bachelor of Design and Master of Architecture degree from the University of Florida. He has also completed post graduate coursework at the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Architecture. Chin is a tenured Associate Professor. In addition to serving as the Director of the School’s undergraduate and graduate architecture programs, Professor Chin teaches the thesis development courses and urban design seminars. He previously taught the first year design studios, fifth year design studios and computer classes. His current practice focuses on urban design services for small towns in north Florida (Dunnellon, Inglis, Newberry, Panacea, Port St. Joe). Chin’s research focuses on issues of race and segregation in American cities. His service activities include the Tallahassee Trust for Historic Preservation (TTHP), Abundant Life Fellowship (ALF) Church and various University and School committees. |
